Neutral Everyday Makeup Routine

For anyone wondering how they can achieve neutral makeup look, here is what I do. In short, my my routine usually consists of sunscreen, foundation, blush, lip product, eyebrow filler and I recently added a translucent power. Here we go:

First things first. Apply sunscreen all over our face. I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch in SPF 30. I do not use a face lotion because this sunscreen is smooth and I feel it doubles as a lotion. Next, I add foundation on my hand and mix it with sunscreen. This sheers out the foundation a bit but also makes it easier to apply. My foundation is Tart amazon clay. Then I dot it on my face focusing on my T-zone, cheeks and chin. I grab the elf powder brush and smooth it out. Other times I don't even use a brush and just use my fingers. The choice is yours. After this step is done, I usually apply more foundation on areas that need more attention. You can call it, spot treatment!

(optional) The Translucent power is a step I recently added, but not necessary. Sometimes I even forge to put this on. However, when I use it, I use the Elf completion brush to grab some product and apply it all over my face, focusing on my t-zone. The translucent power I am using is NYC Smooth Skin Lose Face Power. Moving on...

To pluck out unwanted hairs, I use the Tweezerman. Its does a great job at getting the thickest and thinest hairs out. However, be very careful when using it, because it will rip your skin off if you accidentally grab skin instead of hair (lol). To fill in my eyebrow I use the BH Cosmetics Flawless Brow Trio in dark. I do like it because it comes with a brush that is usable (I use that little brush for this purpose only) and the colors match my brows well. Included in this trio is a dark, medium power and a wax. I don't use the wax. Should I?

The next stop is blush! Lately I have been enjoying using the Elf Blush palette in Dark. It has different hues of pink to choose from. I usually go with the bottom right color, the darkest looking one. Its the one I'm wearing on the picture below. Word of warning, you need to dip your brush on the product very lightly or you'll end up with to much on your brush and cheeks. We aren't going for a clown-look. Again, your choice. Now on to eyebrows...

Lastly, I will do my lips. I like to dab on chapstick before applying any color to my lips because I feel it preps them up and makes them smoother. At the moment I am really liking the lip liner by Prestige in L-26 KISS. Its a great neutral pop of color (like that oxymoron? lol.). Using this lipliner, I not only line my lips with it, I fill them in as well. Then I dab on more chapstick.

And that is the end. It doesn't take long to go through these steps and I think its a presentable look.
Hope you enjoyed learning about my routine! This is what it looks like in different lighting :)

Until next time.

5 Traditional Mexican Hats

After my last post about the Ricky Ricardo Straw hat, I became interested in other types of hats worn in different parts of the world. So here are 5 traditional hats worn in Mexico.

1. The Mariachi Hat The Mariachi hat is usually worn by someone that is a part of a Mariachi group. The hat is part of the typical Mariachi outfit. Compared to the charro hat (see below), the mariachi hat is much more elaborate and fancy looking. However, as with many other things, it varies. By the way, check out the details, on those hats! Prettyful.

2. The Charro Hat When I think of a Charro, what comes to mind is a Mariachi singer. However, Charros are usually men that participate in Rodeo Competitions. Also, I noticed that sombreros de charro are usually less decorated than those worn by Mariachi groups.

3. The Vaquero Hat This is probably one of the most well known Mexican hats because these hats are usually used to depict the cowboy image.  Here's a spanish lesson for ya: Un vaquero = A cowboy

Review: Pizza Hut's Tuscani Pasta - Creamy Chicken Alfredo

Hi there Dear friends,  Today I bring you a food review that I just had to share! I feel I must share this with you because I was pleasantly surprised on how good this was. It's Pizza Hut's Tuscani Pasta in Creamy Chicken Alfredo. I have personally never tried these pastas, so I was skeptical. However, on this particular day  was at Targe and was starving because I had not eaten all morning. Thus, I decided to try this pasta.
I am happy to report that, yes, this is very creamy. It also has a good amount of chicken in it, which makes it that more filling. The top is somewhat crusty and when you get past it, its where the sauciness comes to play. The taste of the actual Alfredo sauce is also very flavorful and delicious.
They say that when you are extremely hungry, everything tastes good. BUT, I can tell you that to me this creamy pasta was very delicious and definitely would recommended. So, if one sad day, you find yourself at Target with an empty stomach, do not hesitate …

The Routine...

As students, we all have that dreaded period where everything seems to pile up with no sign of slowing down. We also all have that friend that just seems to always forget they're a student and who happens drag you down their own stress lane without giving a second thought that you might be stressing too. "Hey, I have my own stressors ok! Calm down and get it together!" Haha. Steering back to course, here is a short story written and inspired by one such friend during our high school years.
The red velvet curtains open up to a heavily breathing boy with sweat dripping down the sides of his temples:
"Oh, no! No, no, no!" cried Edgar an early morning.
"What happened?" said Rita tilting her head with an i-know-what-you-did kind of look. "Its my homework-- I..." "You didn't do it and its an essay thats due today by 3rd period" Rita said quickly interrupting Edgar. "Ha! Yes." Answered Edgar with a half guilty smile. "I did…
